For many the year 2012 was a difficult year especially for those who lived and suffered its harsh reality. The Arab world was filled with sudden political changes culminating in violence and destruction.

Jordanian artist Hilda Hiary was influenced by these events and they formed the theme of her 11th solo exhibition entitled "2Thousand 12". The artist introduces paintings and an installation that reflect some of that year's bitter realities.

" بالنسبة للكثيرين كان عام 2012 عاما صعبا خصوصا بالنسبة لأولئك الذين عاشوا وعانوا واقعها القاسي. وقد شغل العالم العربي هذه التغييرات السياسية المفاجئة التي بلغت ذروتها في أعمال العنف والدمار. انعكست الاحداث على أعمال الفنانة الاردنية هيلدا حياري لتكون موضوع معرضها الشخصي الحادي عشر بعنوان " 2012 ". وتقدم هيلدا مجموعة من الاعمال من ضمنها عمل تركيبي يعكس بعض الحقائق المريرة في تلك السنة."
