Born in 1981, local Artist Leena Baker achieved her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Isra University in 2004, however in the year 2014 she started on a new path, studying at the Center for Fine Arts, run by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture in 2014. Leena's current work also places the human form as the subject. Her portrayal of light in her works highlights the rich colors on the human body. She is specifically intrigued by the human hand, where she finds its complexity and mechanism akin to a whole other organism. The aesthetics and curvatures of the body and hands, as well as the strength of the contrast between the shadows and light is how she communicates emotions through her work.
