يختبر الفنان حازم الزعبي الأسطورة والأثر بصورة معاصرة. في كل مرة يذهب النحات حازم الزعبي إلى إدهاشنا بطرائق متجددة في خطابه الفني، فقد اختبر الطين بكل تجلياته الخزفية فيما يخص النحت الخزفي فكانت تلك البدايات المبهرة في الانتقال إلى مادة أكثر نبلا هي مادة الحجر والبرونز، مادتان تمتلكان الديمومة التي تقدم صورة نبيلة عن النحت الذي يقدمه الزعبي من خلال التنقل بين الأسطورة والأثر الحضاري الأردني المتمثل في تماثيل عين غزال والتي تعبر المنحوتات الأقدم في تاريخ المنطقة وصولا على طبيعة المواد المستخدمة فيها، فقد التفت الزعبي لمنطقة مهمة جدا لم يلتفت إليها أحد غيره، فكانت السياق الأكثر تفردا وإغراء لمواصلة تحقيق وتحوير تلك الأشكال الغرائبية والتي أصبحت صورة متقدم في النحت العربي عامة والأردني بخاصة.
